I charge a $30 bench fee for any pedal that I need to crack open to diagnose. If you want to go ahead with the repair, I’ll apply the $30 fee toward my hourly rate of $60, plus any replacement parts. Most repairs can be completed in 1-2 hours and parts rarely run more than $15.
